Shrewsbury Symphony Orchestra will presented its Spring 2023 concert in the Alington Hall on Wednesday, April 5th 2023 - featuring soprano Holly Teague.

The programme includes 'Last Four Songs for Soprano and Orchestra' by Richard Strauss and Mahler's First Symphony. 

Shropshire soprano Holly has a voice of rare quality and mesmerising stage presence! You may have seen her as the lead soloist in the UK Proms series, which launched at the West Mid Showground last summer. She enjoys a varied singing career, appearing as a soloist for symphonies, oratorios, concerts, gala evenings, recitals and new music projects, in addition to stage work in the UK and internationally. 

This spring she will sing with Scottish Opera ('Opera Highlights') and the Cumbria Opera Group before joining the Shrewsbury Symphony Orchestra to sing Strauss' Last Four Songs ('Vier letzte Lieder'). 

The orchestra is conducted by John Moore and led by Alex Postlethwaite.
